Employment Fees

Employment Litigation is Rare and most matters are Settled through a Settlement Agreement Document. Costs for such Agreements are commonly between £300 to £1,500 plus VAT (20%). The Employer may reimburse Costs of up to £500 plus VAT (20%). This work concerns taking instructions and negotiations to Settlement. These Negotiations usually resolve in a month.

Occasionally matters cannot be settled and the matter is pursued to a Tribunal. These matters can be complex and may require the assistance of a barrister.

These matters can take between one month to two years due to difficulties in cases being listed.

Costs might be as follows;-

-Initial Instructions and negotiations £1,000 to £1,500 plus VAT (20%)

-Assistance over Grievances and Appeals £1,000 plus VAT (20%)

-Using the ACAS Compulsory Conciliation Procedure £1,000 plus VAT (20%)

-Issuing a Clam £1,000 to £1,500 plus VAT (20%)

-Dealing with Disclosure and Schedule of Loss £1,000 plus VAT (20%)

-Dealing with exchange of documents £1,000 plus VAT (20%)

-Dealing With experts £1,000 plus VAT (20%)

-Directions hearings up to £1,500 plus VAT (20%)

-Instructions on the Trial up to £3,500 which includes preparation of a Trial Bundle and Counsels Fees.

Experts and barristers Fees could be a total of around £8,000 plus VAT (20%)

In more complex cases Costs can get up to around £21,000 plus VAT (20%)
